Mr Heron on the Water of Leith

Today was going to be a flower blip but someone got there first, with something quite odd...

So I went with a picture of Mr Heron, which - as so often - was the first picture I took. It's good because it provides direct comparison with one of the first pictures I took with the Ixus back on Boxing Day 2011. Unsurpisingly, the s100 does a better job.

We have friends comign round this morning. We've been blipping early both to get it done, but also because we cannot go round to the supermarket until after 10am because of the silly Scottish licensing laws which - inter alia - prevent middle aged people like us doing our shopping early on a Saturday and getting out of the way of all of the families, etc.

Then the rest of the day will be spent in concocting some sort of spread. Dunno precisely what yet, but we'll see. We'll also have to spruce up the flat.
