Whitley Bay in the Sun
A week in the northeast with Prue. It was cold and wet and winter wardrobe weather. Drove through murky rain up the A1 to Newcastle. By 5pm the sky cleared and the sun came out, and by 9pm it was shorts and T-shirt weather at 21C.
We ate monster fish and chips at Seaton Sluice harbour in the evening sun. Then a drive down the coast.
This is the lighthouse on the tiny St Mary's Island, just north of Whitley Bay. The small rocky tidal island is linked to the mainland by a short concrete causeway which is submerged at high tide.
My computer battery is at 2% I'll catch up with things later.
