Ukko is ruling
About midsummer in Finland:
"It takes place on the Saturday between the 20th and 26th of June. Originally a pagan celebration, it was a tribute to Ukko, the god of thunder. Since he controlled the rain, you had to be nice to him in order to get a good harvest."

Not sure whether Ukko was in a very bad mood today or whether he wanted to be very generous. It rained all day with very very few sunny spells. So a lie in after yesterdays long evening was perfectly ok. We nevertheless managed to blow away the cobwebs by walking 2 hours to Teufi for an ice cream and back in the afternoon. Flowers are beautiful, colorful and plentiful.
6 degrees celsius and the mountains are white again. Time for a homemade curry and the movie "Kingsman" for sheer entertainment.
