Two Pleasant Happenings
The first was Geeta's backbending class this morning. Everyone thought she had extra dynamism and humor today, but at the same time she taught a very intensive backbending class leading to Eka Pada Rajakapotanasana and Dwi Pada? Is that a pose? Both feet touching the back of the head? (Not your neighbor's feet. Your OWN feet.) Plus something that involved rolling over your forehead toward your nose--from Viparita Dandasana--that Geeta said would help crush the ego. Yes. A few students could do all of the harder poses, most just gave it their best effort.
The second pleasant thing was Parvati Hill. MM and I went near sunset when the air was getting cool and a breeze helped keep the mosquitoes away. After taking in this great view we visited the five temples plus the tiny museum. We could only guess at the significance of some of the items because there were very few English translations, but I now know how to recognize a coconut grater and a spice box.
