One species each day (from my backyard)
We'd had a cold wet Southerly passing over for about a day and this night was still cool, but calm and foggy. It was getting late and I was lazy again and took something simple, realising it could be difficult to find its botanical name. The original shot was boring, but when I cropped it I was pleasantly surprised with myself. This one of a few plants growing in a gravelly corner on the driveway. Finding the name turned out to be not too difficult. Google helped again. This is Aeonium arboreum var. atropurpureum f. nigrum 'Schwarzkopf'. In this picture the leaves aren't that dark because this is the centre of of the plant showing young leaves that are lighter in colour.
