Today's the day ................................. to splash

Not a good day to be driving north to Edinburgh - but that's what we had to do.

The rain lashed, the wind blew and the road was full of puddles that made impressive splashes as the car went through. The misty conditions meant that headlights were compulsory for most of the journey.

That'll be the summer then ................................
