Painting Lake Garda

Well we arrived in beautiful Sirmione, on Lake Garda around 11 this morning having left home in the middle of the night lol! Thankfully, the whole trip from start to finish went without a hitch. Our hotel is right on the lakeside. Sirmione seems idyllic from what we've seen so far. We will be refreshed once we have had a good nights sleep, having been up since 2.30am!

We have plenty of trips planned, so watch this space, but for today and tomorrow we are getting our bearings locally.

I stumbled upon today's blip as we were meandering along the lakeside. This art class and their tutor had set up their easels looking straight down the lake with the Alps in the background, although today was quite cloudy, and a little humid, it probably made for a more interesting painting than it did blip, too much grey!

I didn't get chance to see their artwork but I quite liked this image of them at work, with the castle tower and old buildings in the background.
