Family...

As I get older, I treasure time spent with family more and more.  It seems like, as in with so many families, the miles keep the visits too few ... but maybe that makes the time spent together that much sweeter?  Last night my nephew, his wife, their new baby and their adorable dog came to visit.  We lingered long into the evening over dinner and wine and started the day this morning lingering over pancakes (Hubs' special walnut blueberry pancakes) and coffee and tea.  It was such a special visit.  I am feeling pretty full of love at the moment - definitely a lucky aunt!  

I had a hard time choosing a photo today but I picked this one because I think it captures some of the feeling of love.  And I hope they will like it too!  I am posting the color version in Extra along with one other shot of mother and son that I particularly like.  

I have to say that when I married my husband, I hit the jackpot in terms of family-in-law.  I feel incredibly fortunate.

Tomorrow morning I am off to OR for an all-too-quick visit with my parents.  Who knows, you may see another portrait this week from me!
