A time of innocence, a time of confidences, 1972
Time it was and what a time it was
A time of innocence
A time of confidences
Long ago it must be
I have a photograph

Time it was...
Today would have been the 64th birthday of someone who was once and will always remain very special to me. Our bond with her family in Sweden softens the loss, but it's a persistently painful one still, twenty two years later. Rest in peace, Suzanne, we had a great run. This snowy shot was copied this morning from an old slide taken with my trusty old Ricoh TLS 401 and tripod in 1972. It was my life changing, first trip overseas, 8 weeks of continual wonder. Here, Suzanne and I are in Western Norway, not too far from the Borgund Stave Church , in Lærdal. Suzanne and I were on a driving adventure in her red Saab and the scenery was amazing. We could not resist playing in the roadside snow on a that brilliant June day. Young and oh so foolish , it was an amazing adventure for me. It's more than wonderful to have those memories now, 40 years later.
For the Record,
This day came in as all the rest this week, damp, dismal and foggy with the never ending threat of showers.
