Boys will be boys

Drymen Gala Day followed the usual routine of a parade by a local pipe band, decorated floats and vintage cars through the village from the school to the football field.

The vintage cars were a source of great interest to some of the crowd, who found whatever is under the bonnet of this particular one fascinating!

As I left, I met one of my ex-badminton boys, who had been a bit of a scallywag at primary school age, but is now a young man, all grown up and charming and working as a solicitor in Edinburgh. For some reason, meeting and chatting to him put an extra spring in my step as I walked home.
