Finally
Another long, long walk today - this time with Mme Tepeka, the girl child and the two dogs. We went back to the Giant's Ring from last week, and discovered a few more hidden treasures along the way. It still amazes us that we have this gorgeous natural resource literally on our doorstep, at the edge of Belfast. We're very lucky.
So today was one of those spoiled-for-choice blip days. I had literally a dozen photos that I'd have been quite happy to put up, including quite a nice shot of the tomb in the centre of the Giant's Ring. But that's been put on hold again in favour of a pic of our aged mutt.
Macy, the dog in question, is a little over 13 years old, which puts her at about 90 in dog years for her breed/size. And in 13 years, this is by far the best picture of her that we've ever managed. We got quite a nice shot of her when she was a puppy, but since then she's developed an instant ability to turn her head in the opposite direction whenever a camera is pointed at her.
And the icing on the cake? This picture was taken by the girl child - so all my blip-worthy material has to take a back seat! Still, that gives us a good excuse to head back to the Giant's Ring again...
