The Boulders

What a huge day we have had.

After only a couple of hours sleep, we were up at 6.30 for the sunrise at the lookout..... it was a success. Then back for a substantial breakfast after making 3 dozen filled rolls, filling the thermos flasks for our picnic lunch.  We then traveled south to Matanaka (see extra).  I'm too tired to give the history but it was a great place, lovely landscapes, old buildings and sea views to die for. 

A picnic lunch at Shag Point then off to find the Penguins.......not found, but seals, gulls and seascapes aplenty kept me very occupied. 
From there off to walk the beach to The Boulders (blip) for some LE photography and steel wool photography. The sky colours and reflections on the sand were beautiful - not really shown here (using the iPad) 

Magnificent dinner, now we're off outside to do some more steel wool photography.

Very tired.
