Pantheon

Today we visited Palatine hill and the Roman forum. I think after our adventures through Pompeii and Herculaneum the ruins seemed a little less impressive but it was interesting none the less.
After an ice cream to cool ourselves down we found the Pantheon were we hung out for a while in the cool. I liked the original idea of this place - pantheon means 'all gods' so in Roman times people could come here to worship or prey to any one of the gods. Very inclusive! It is now a Christian church though.
We saw the Trevi fountain although it was closed for work and then headed to Piazza Navona for something to eat and amazing ice-cream. We spent a couple of hours here watching the street performers and artists before heading back for our last night!
