Quite the bounty

A stormy and windy excursion to the market this morning. It's held weekly at railway station, which is worth a visit in itself. The platform pictured hosts not only the train but also fashion shows and the occasional wedding too!

I do love the market. The words "spray free" make me feel happy and it's a wonderful solution for those of us who are too time poor to manage a vegetable garden of that size. That said, I think it'll have to be on my to plant list sooner rather than later. Luckily, my Mum is a well established gardener who has a very enviable vegetable garden so I'm sure she'll pass on her wisdom.

Today as I was purchasing my fresh vegetables, a lady beside me said "Goodness, do you own a restaurant?" I looked at her puzzled, and then looked down at my purchases. Bundles of spinach, kale and silverbeet with bags of carrots, brussels sprouts and fennel lay on the counter. Quite the bounty - so I guess I can see where she got that from!

It's been two months since we've started our whole food lifestyle (our version of the paleo "diet"). It's been a huge adjustment with no sugar, gluten, dairy or processed food in our day to day lives. Initially I was overwhelmed, but I don't think I could go back now. Our energy levels, skin problems, overall health, moods and sleep quality has all improved. Onwards and upwards from here I think!
