Cake

Start of a busy period, but some pfaffing around. Late on Friday, we were told that workmen due to start replacing the shower room on Monday, are not now due to start until Wednesday.

The boys new phones. One boy had a contract, but that has now run out, and he deserves a better phone. The other never used his, but as he, and his brother, are off to university, it makes sense to get him a contract too. Guess who's paying

We wandered down to the Meadows. Poor weather on Saturday meant no Meadows Festival. No stalls, food stalls shut, and only ground based rides were operating at the Fair. Not surprising really. It was a real struggle to walk in to the wind.

However, we had been invited to celebrate two birthdays. Where there's a birthday, or two, then cake must be involved. There seems to be plenty here. I enjoyed the strawberry cake. Oh, and the nibbles. And the wine very much appreciated indeed.
