South End, not on sea...

South End is a street in Stromness on Orkney and this is a model of number 2 South End. It fits into the Port Appin diorama quite well being a grand dwelling house attached to a boat building shed and situated on its own pier. I thought it would be a simple build but it's had its difficulties. It's not perfect but it looks like the building it's intended to be - that's something I suppose. Still lots to do before it'll fit into the diorama. The first attempt at the boat hoist was difficult and this is version 2 but still needs a big rebuild.  Some retaining walls around the yard are needed and some working clutter too.  The end you can see will eventually 'T' join up onto the main diorama at the sea wall and a road will go from there to the old Port Appin.  I may even put in a tramway but that's a long way off just yet.  The next building is already in the planning stage.
