Our life with Autism

By Cjrach

It's never a simple job

We've been in our house for 9yrs now.
We bought it off a 98yr old man who had lived downstairs for 10 yrs, it was practically derelict on the two upper floors.
The hall stairs and landings where papered with wood chip and painted powder blue so it was one of the first jobs we did to strip it and paint it. It took Tony a couple of weeks working every spare hour and he said then Never Again.
9yrs later it has taken a battering whilst every other room in the house has been gutted.
Whilst stripping the last bit of lining paper today from above the picture rail it became apparent that the paper was the only thing holding up the old plaster adding more expense to an already very expensive decorating job.

Chris enjoyed his night in respite apart from not eating.
He was in bed at 9pm and they had to wake him at 8am, unlike me who was awake at 5am, typical!!
