Hidcote
Well I did warn you yesterday that today would be another 'nature' day. Following our visit to Charlecote Park last week we decided to take out joint National Trust membership, especially as there was a twelve months for the price of nine offer. So as today was the best day of the week weather-wise we set off for Hidcote Manor Garden set in the Cotswolds near Chipping Campden.
Unfortunately the world and his wife had had the same idea so the place was somewhat busy, though we did manage to get a table for coffee on arrival.
The setting and gardens are very beautiful and we spent a very enjoyable morning looking round. Now we're planning which NT property to go to next.
We went home via one of our favourite antique barns and managed to find another suitcase that Ann liked for the bedroom and I bought an Art Deco table to set my stereo up on.
A bit of tennis before tea, Nottingham WTA, and that's it, though Ann did make some yummy potato cakes for tea.
