horns of wilmington's cow

Oh Raasay!

In the manner of Leslie Phillips, obviously.

Up and down day, not just in the sense of the terrain, with a great long walk from the end of Calum's Road (Google it, really interesting tale, and good book about it) to the northernmost tip of 'mainland' Raasay. It would appear I've managed to leave my lovely new GPS on the roof of the car as we set off for the ferry. Sigh. Raasay FB pages have been posted to in an attempt to see if anyone recovers it. Bah.

It's not so much losing the thing (and yes, there's a lovely irony in a GPS unit being lost); but losing the records of the walks we've been on, like today, which was great. Hazy sunshine giving warmth, but not too much of it; quite a lot of big, but some of it bypassable; a ruddy big climb in the middle of the out and the back; and no otters but a distant white-tailed eagle and some dragonflies.

Still annoyed about the GPS though...

Edit: the power of t'internet. Someone got back to one of my FB posts to let me know her brother in law has found it. :)
