A sheep is a sheep
Well, not necessarily! There are of course many different breeds and we get quite a variety around here.
A flock of sheep arrived yesterday into the field full of buttercups just below our house. Amongst them I noticed a few like this and I think they are a breed called Kerry Hill. According to my research, Kerry Hill sheep are from the hills of Mid-Wales. They are known for the panda-like markings on the face, the upright ears, black feet and a very upstanding carriage. I think these fit that description. Apparently they have some of the softest of British wools. I wouldn’t be surprised if these appear at the local show in August.
