Avoiding the warehouse!

Today, we took my dad to the local garden centre for lunch - not that he was interested, but we needed a few things for the garden.  We bought some veggies to plant in the raised beds - mange tout peas, sweet corn, and kohl rabi.

Then we dropped dad off at his flat, and came home.  We didn't get started on anything much until 5pm.  But they collect the brown bin tomorrow and we wanted to make sure we took advantage, so we cleared and weeded the rather neglected passage down the back of the house.

By this time, we were a bit peckish, so we made (and ate) scones.  And W wanted to play with his new toy - a battery powered hedge cutter.  All before 9pm!

We didn't make much progress in clearing the warehouse, and I can see that the garden is going to be a distraction from the essential tasks all week.  I think we have to hope that the weather is not TOO lovely.
