Appleby horse fair mishap

We paid our annual homage to Appleby horse fair today - this gypsy lad had real trouble riding the horse out of the deep gulley, and instead of letting go, he hung on tight, pulling the horse over with him. Many of the gypsy boys can't swim, so get really nervous when they (almost) fall off the horses.

Horse and rider escaped unharmed.
