Motionless #2

See Motionless #1. Much the same situation, but in better weather this time. We set off from Oxford at 11 a.m. and got as far as Warwick before getting stuck for two hours following a serious accident involving a van and a lorry several miles ahead of us. We waited patiently, reading and sitting in the shade of a tree. Hard to get impatient when you know that someone has been seriously injured (fatally in this case). A sobering thought. Eventually the road was cleared and we were moving again, albeit slowly. We got to my mum's well after four, rather than at lunchtime as intended.

Still, the upside was that we decided to stay overnight with my mum instead of carrying on to S's mum's, so we had a longer visit with her (and two out of my three sisters) and she had the opportunity to beat us at Scrabble.

Backblipping this after my second blipmeet of the week -- you can read about it on WalkingMarj's journal. Back later with my blip.
