A Quiet Corner Of Kirkoswald

Looking down the Raven Beck in the middle of Kirkoswald. Shortly beyond, this Beck tumbles down a Gorge and carries on to join the River Eden which in turn exits at the Solway Firth between the Carlisle (England) and Scotland border. A lot of the houses here back onto this river and many have long gardens tumbling down with first floor verandahs and conservatories making the most of the situation. It 's a place I wouldn't mind living. It also has the convenience of the doctors surgery opposite, a well stocked off license/local shop and two great pubs that do good food. Oh and a bus twice a week.

Alas the world seems to be catching up with the Eden Valley. Today we had filming and celebs in the area. Penelope Keith of 'The Good Life'  (for those of you that remember it) was filming some sort of travel in England thing. There seemed to be big shiny four wheeled drives everywhere - what's new! Cameras like you have never seen that resemble something from Jodderel Bank (is that how you spell it?)

Oh well that 's the excitement from here for today so 'night night, sleep tight'.
