Milk Baa
We had a very pleasant walk late this afternoon, just around the fields nearby.
On the river bank, sunning themselves were a swan family with just one cygnet. Whilst I was busy photographing them, a kingfisher flew past. That was nice to see as we haven't spotted any on that stretch of river for ages.
We then walked past a sheep field, and two lambs ran to greet us, and nuzzled Hector and Ziggy's noses through the bars (and between the baa's). We thought that was a bit unusual, and then the farmer pulled up in his pick-up, and dashed into the field to bottle-feed them. Evidently their mum keeled over and died in the field so he has had to hand-rear them - which is why they are so used to humans and dogs too.
On the way back we passed through a field of wild flowers, so that's where my "extra" came from - they looked dazzling in the late afternoon sun.
