Gibside

Another visit to Gibside with a friend and her two young children. Here we are enjoying the walled garden which only a few years ago was used as the car park. It has been transformed and has vegetable plots for community groups and the beginnings of a splendid herbaceous border. We had a picnic enjoying the beautiful colours of chives in flower and yellow mint in the beds you can see. Then we progressed for more fun to Strawberry Castle Adventure Playground. There was some sunshine but blustery winds again.
