Douglas Row re-opened, and the River Ness flood alleviation works are almost finished here. It's taken an age - when it started, and about a year ago.

The death of our former MP, Charles Kennedy, was announced today. RIP Charles, you were a fine fellow. Correction, a very fine fellow. Condolences to the family and friends. My only encounter with him, was at a charity quiz night at the local Mercedes garage, in about 1996. He was reading out all the questions for the teams to tackle. At the start he assured us that, unlike some other recent (Tory) MP's, he was receiving no money for asking the questions. It was a great fun night. Thank you Charles, for all that you stood for, and against, on our behalf.
