Between the showers

It was a day of lots of small walks for pooch today - the weather has reverted to recent type and changed on the hour every hour today betwixt sun, rain, winds and repeat.
I had an errand to run up in Penrith (OK OK - I was buying a wetsuit to go with my new toy...)- so thought we'd have a mooch around Coal Pit Hill. Just as I was about to open the car & let pooch out I heard an unmistakable sound and turned to see first - this beautiful creature - and then moments later her chicks - just visible in the extra shot.

Today's blip was nearly a pic of a plain white piece of paper (which would have been a good analogy for how little inspiration I've felt for today's report writing) - but would actually have been me showing off my (totally unexpected) success in opening up little digital camera and cleaning the super annoying spec of dust off the sensor. There was a 50:50 chance it would have been the end of little camera given my historical success rate at this sort of job!
