A Nest Of Caterpillars

We spotted this nest of caterpillars in the hedge in front of the 16th tee on our golf round this morning. Given the quality of our driving, they're lucky not to have been scattered by a stray ball before now!

Any idea as to what butterfly they are destined to become?

A perfect day for golf and I had my lowest score for many months, followed by a busy afternoon in preparation for a spot of entertaining tomorrow.
