charlie keeps guard...

...on the fencepost at the bottom of the garden.

I can't decide whether he's having a sneaky peak at the sunset, keeping guard to make sure no one comes and gets me or is he really just looking for mice as the allotments are the other side of the fence?

I've had a long day on a course today...so it was lovely to get home, wander down to water the tomatoes and then catch the sunset just before it disappeared into the clouds...

The positive of a day on a course? someone made cupcakes! oh...and I learnt stuff ;)

I got home and have already cooked tomorrows meal..my friend is coming to stay tomorrow night and she's already promised to bring champagne...just because she can...so I felt it was important to ensure I have plenty of time to just sit and drink with her. I've cooked a sweet potato, spinach & chickpea thing...like a stew but spicy...and scrumptious. It's one of those dishes that always tastes better the next day which is another reason I've done it tonight.

Is it bedtime yet?...
