A day at sea
When we left the gorgeous city of Cadiz yesterday evening, our Ukrainian captain said it might be "swelly".
We had a night when we were rocked in our beds (gaining an hour as we were heading to Portuguese waters).
This morning I notice we have the chairs in the bar attached to the hooks and it is quiet around the ship. Our Captain spoke of Force Six and some freak waves of 7 metres.
I asked permission of one of the staff to venture into a relatively protected corner to take a few shots. They don't really give a clear impression.
I've known worse - and I hope it grows calmer.
It is a timely reminder of the power of the seas. I love the sea and certainly do not underestimate the force of Mother Nature.
We don't arrive in the Bay of Biscay for two days yet.
