Brome

I would think this is about ready to cut and make hay. It has been so wet that I don't think anyone could get into the fields yet. Usually by the beginning of June, a sizeable amount of hay has been cut. Brome is used round here for hay. It has to be planted to start with but conseqently fertilizing each year is all that is necessary. If it has to wait too long, the protein content will go down. You can get brome hay with a higher protein content than the alfalfa sometimes.

It was a nice morning but then the thunder, lightning and rain started. I think we may get rain most days for the next week.
I am happy you enjoyed the penstemon. A good standby. Thank you for stars and comments.
