Penstemon

This is Penstemon digitalis Pocahontas. The leaves, which you can't see well here, are reddish bronze. It will seed well if you want it to spread that way, much like columbines will do. The wild penstemon is a Kansas native.

A nice day today and managed to get some weeding done as well as picked strawberries at I's. They have had a super crop this year. All the rain has no doubt helped.
