Chequered Skipper Butterfly

I promised you a quarry photo well this is what I was looking for at the quarry. I was working on a monitoring programme we are running here and as the sun came out this afternoon I found some.

 If you want to see the quarry I have put one on the extra shot. Look carefully at the scale as the quarry is  a mile across and getting larger. 140 million tons of stone have been removed from this area so far. It is certainly a quarry with a view, this looks over what is known as the Primary area where the stone is extracted
