Iris
Two of my grandchildren have been staying with their great gran in Staffordshire and today I met her off the M42 and took the children back to their new house. They were excited to see what I had been doing in their absence but as Mckenzie opened the kitchen door, he stood there and said,
'It's not right. I don't like it!'. I can only assume that he had become so used to the unpacked boxes, that they were a comforting familiar sight that was no longer there. Hopefully he'll get used to it.
This evening I went to The Playhouse in Oxford with my eldest daughter to enjoy an evening of flamenco. The standard of dancing was superb and I always come out onto the pavement feeling that I could dance back to the car.
I've waited a while for this iris to fully open but now that it has, it has been blowing a gale and was not easy to photograph. It's a great night for the telescope if you want to see the moon, jupiter and saturn.
