I'll gather lilacs .......

A wild and stormy night last night but the sun came out later today.

I woke early again, early enough to catch the end of the nights World Service transmission and then hear the sad news about Charles Kennedy. Later on there was news of another death, my sister's mother in law who was in her mid 90's.

Big meeting this morning with colleagues from London. I spent the afternoon checking our travel arrangements for the staff conference.

A quiet evening with a bit of a chat to a gardener, #2 son and a side trip to E's to collect a key and be given some beautiful lilacs. #2 son is happy with the news from FIFA.

It's cold and I should perhaps of swum this morning. I didn't! This weekend, for definite.
