An Old Airman's Life

Cadillac Ranch

Cadillac Ranch was our first non gas stop of our trip

We left Fort Worth about 08:45 and headed northwest through the Texas Panhandle to Amarillo.  The recent rains have turned the entire area green.  Parts of it were very pretty.  Other parts were pretty flat and monotonous.  On our way out of Amarillo, we stopped at the Cadillac Ranch.  I would not recommend flying from Europe to specifically see it, but when in town, stop in.  It is quite unique.

On our way to Albuquerque, I ran into a gigantic thunderstorm.  Before the rain, the temperature was 94 degrees.  Afterwards, the car's thermometer read 64 degrees.  We made it safe and sound to the hotel.  Tomorrow we take off for Vegas.
