St Sunday Crag and Helvellyn
Today was the first of the Twin Peak orienteering weekend. The event was on Place Fell, and we had a long uphill walk to the start. The views were really good, but I didn't carry my camera up before the run. Apart from messing up the first control, and being too tentative to the second as I got used to the mapping, I had an OK run. The views from Place Fell were great and the only downside was wet feet from the copious bogs. Afterwards I took my camera, and walked about halfway up to the start, to take this blip of the head of Ullswater looking over to St Sunday Crag and Helvellyn. There are two remaining patches of snow visible on Helvellyn that may be visible as the shot is sharp. My extra shot is of the tree in yesterday's blip looking good in the morning sun.
