Blue Jay

It's not often that I can find a Blue Jay posing so perfectly to show off his markings.  I love seeing all the beautiful shades of blue in his feathers and I was happy with his surroundings too.  An easy choice for today. This is one that really looks better on the dark background. :-)

I was able to capture a screen shot of the osprey family a few minutes ago so I have added it as an extra.  The 2 day old chick is popping his wobbly head up in the center surrounded by eggs.  The male is the one closer to him.  Kind of hard to see but I couldn't resist adding it.
