There is an African saying that "it takes a village to raise a child". young people sometimes don't want to talk to their parents about certain things but there are  other responsible adults around that they may get to know and talk to more readily.
One of the lovely things about the camps is that children and young people are safe to do their own thing, in the countryside, with enough but not too much adult supervision. It's a pretty safe place and there's always someone around keeping half an eye out...
