Showing off for the Ladies ......

We had the luxury of a relaxing morning at the hotel this morning.  We can't check into our beach house rental on Topsail Beach until after 1:30 pm.

After doing a little shopping (okay, a lot!) we headed for Topsail Island.  R had read about a sea turtle hospital that was open to the public, but with limited hours.  So before checking into our rental house we went to Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital.  My extra shows one of the many volunteers at the hospital, Bri.  Doesn't she have a wonderful smile!?!

From there we went to check into the beach house rental at South Topsail Beach , North Carolina. What a beautiful place and we are right on the beach with direct beach access!  My brother-in-law did an excellent job picking this place sight unseen. Thanks, H!

Shortly before supper my sister and her husband (a different BIL) arrived at the house.  The rest of my family is expected much, much later! They finally got in after 1:00 am!

As we were sitting on the deck enjoying the view we were serenaded by the grackles.  This one seems to be showing off for the ladies.
