Rothiemurchus,

This wasn't me. 

We found it on a tiny island that we visited because it had a log to sit on to eat our lunch. 

Rothiemurchus is a piece of the original Caledonian pine forest, and the atmosphere is magical. There are lovely walks through the forest which open up to the drama of the Cairngorms. 

A lovely day out though a tad longer on foot than we intended. Our original plan was a nice gentle stroll. I think we covered fifteen miles by the time we had walked round Loch Morlich and headed back to the bunk house. 

This time we went to the Winking Owl to meet up with our pals again. The food was superb. Steak and ale pie with home made short crust pastry. 

Slept well that night I can tell you.
