Oak Apple Day.
Great Wishford, by the Wylye in Wiltshire. May 29th, Oak Apple Day. Been going on since 1603, the villagers right to collect wood in the forest, but they have to go round the village and attend Salisbury Cathedral in the morning.
Extras. River Bourne Morris Men, had a couple of pints in the Royal Oak first, before joining the procession.
All done with a bit of fun.
