Jubilee Weekend

Sarah came up and we chilled and chatted and she finished her clay bird and started a new masterpiece...a Mossley view. The girls joined in the craftfest too and I quickly cooked up some salt dough for them. And they made pots and a little multicoloured penguin.

We stuck the Jubilee concert on, I drank far too much wine. The girls played and dipped in and out as they heard songs they liked.

Of course...we took the piss, while watching it ALL the way through. Quite glad Lenny cut Rolf off halfway through 'Two Little Boys' as I've never made it to the final verse without turning into a blubbering wreck...and NO ONE needs to see that.

The fireworks were amazing and fabulous.

In the spirit of...

A) Liz lighting the last beacon to celebrate the Jubilee.
B) a symbolic gesture of burning the monarchy and all they stand for.

...I lit the lanterns and jars in the garden and we stuck our coats on and sat a while. I made some bunting for the street party on Wednesday at one of our libraries. So we stuck that out too.
