We bought a few walk leaflets from the campsite shop and although today’s route was off our map it was easy to get to and follow. I’m sure the walk description said ‘firm underfoot’. In many parts it was, but at the third boggy section when it started to drizzle the decision to turn back was unanimous.  A lovely area though for a sunny day and one to return to. 

Much improved weather later and a pleasant riverside wander. There was a fun afternoon in the park …… I was tempted to go on the boating lake but couldn’t persuade the OH to join me.
