Close Quarters

Work started on our drainage problem today. It was fascinating to see how adeptly contractor Mike maneuvered the smaller of the two excavators in the confined space under the deck. The scoop was swinging just a couple of inches away from my workshop window.

As expected, Ms Robin was not happy -- you can see her nest at the junction of the diagonal braces. The work is going to continue for several days. I woudn't be surprised if she decides to move to a quieter location.
