Rangitoto sunrise

I had a meeting at Bayswater this morning so I left early enough to spend some time on Narrow Neck Beach at Takapuna to watch the sunrise over Rangitoto. I got there in plenty of time - what a great spot, and a lot of other people thought so too, walking, running, exercising dogs, even Tai Chi. It was a perfect morning, calm and cloudless (and cold too!), and low tide with wet sand allowed for some reflection of the light. The extra pics here are a selection of the many shots taken as I waited for the sun to sneak over the ridge.
To fill in a little time before my meeting it was good to fit in a short run in new territory along the walkways/cycleways around Shoal Bay, and a shower at the Marina.
