Moules Frites
Well, on a bank holiday week, I just knew that a dish of mussels would be in order. Just happened to be passing by one of my favourite eateries and knew that moules mariniere would be on the menu.
And just as appetising as I remember when last here. Big, plump mussels in a delicious wine sauce, and not forgetting a basket of frites.
To be honest I could probably do without the chips . . . but then it's bank holiday week! And who's counting calories this week?
Not that it seems to make too much difference in any event. But, all aided of course with a glass of Belgian lager and a glass of house white.
PS. I can salve my conscience in preparing for this, by having done a four mile walk before getting to the restaurant!
