The largest windfarm in the UK

Located on Eaglesham Moor, just 20 minutes from Central Glasgow, Whitelee windfarm is the largest onshore windfarm in the UK.  Its 215 turbines generate up to 539 megawatts of electricity, enough to power about 300,000 homes.  It’s a great place for a walk or a cycle on a sunny afternoon.  The extra blips are some of the activities which keep children amused in the learning hub while educating them about energy.
