Birthday Flowers?!
Such a lovely day! Two very good and fun friends, Colourful Mai and Vegan Jo, plus Jo's son whom I have known all his life and met an hour after he came into the world. A beautiful garden which just looks better every time I go and in which I have happy memories of both my parents. Their visits to me always involved gardens and this was their favourite, The Garden House.
But what to blip? I have only processed a third and could choose so many as the happy memory of this day, the flowers and my friends. I dipped in and out of the conversation, suddenly getting totally absorbed in the beauty of yet another flower, another view, then tuning in to the laughter of the three of them and joining them once more. They accept me, strangely, and I love them for it. Before you ask, yes my shingles are still with me, extra present today - blisters! But hopefully that means the end is in sight. But I am feeling tired and emotional - thankful for everything and everyone I have in my life and sad over those people I have lost including those whom could not be with me today. But back to the happy day!
There were wooden animal carvings all over the garden for son to find, he ran around happily finding them and Mai and Jo had convulsive giggles over the naive carvings and liberal use of a black felt pen on the eyes and noses!! We could not find the mole, the one I really wanted to find - he was not on or by the lawns and as we had our afternoon clotted cream and scones the waitress found out the area we should be looking. Son did headstands on the lawn and I got him to take a photo of the three of us - I posed us, set the camera and set him in place - I think he did well! We looked - and looked for the mole - and I finally found it hidden in the bluebells! All happy!
So - the blip, my first insect on flower I think! I will probably wish I'd chosen son eating, doing headstands, gazing on the mole, the meconopsis ( but snapper blipped such a good one today!), the meadows, a riotous profusion of colours, the stunning wisteria - but I have not finished processing all the many varieties they have in flower - the iris by the lake........it was all so beautiful!
You can see some here!
P.S. If you are wondering but don't like to ask - glorious 52 today!
Also discovered last night that clicking on a new tab on google chrome brought up the google doodle of birthday cakes - wondering what they were celebrating and hovering over it found it was my birthday! "Happy Birthday Judith!" came up! Was both tickled pink and alarmed! Very Big Brother! The internet knows all that you do!! :-0
